I highly doubt they're going to put out a product under their name that has such an obvious defect after six months. Something tells me they cracked this fully, and that's why this phone has been in development for over a year, so they can get actual long-term repeated use of it to see just how much this "crease" will or will not show.
It's Apple, not a budget Samsung. They 100% would not put out a product that starts having obvious lines down the center of it after using it for a couple months. You'll see when the 6-month reviews come in.
I fully agree. I'm just saying we already know the crease is slightly visible on day one and that's the best they could get it at this point. I'm sure they wanted to do better than that but the tech just isn't there yet.
Officially signing up for the $200 Codex plan now. I do like CC, but these errors are happening every week now, and if they (Anthropic) gave regular resets that's one thing, but somehow I'm already at 62% weekly usage after the random reset this Tuesday using Fable 5.1 medium. Just not worth it any longer compared to Codex IMO. I already set up my skills and everything to be generic and not CC specific, so it shouldn't be too hard to transition over. I'll run both for a month and decide.
Couldn't recommend it more. I've been on their $100/mo. plan and they keep randomly resetting my weekly usage limit. It's been wild. Don't know how long it will last, but I couldn't go through all my usage if I tried.
Their Sol model has been doing great for most of my tasks, even at its "Medium" setting.
Much different picture then back when I was using Claude. I would sneeze and half my usage would be gone and then it go down several times in between.

I'm getting older, I have lots of ideas, and now I have tools that can help bring them together faster instead of spending two weeks obsessing about how I want to set up Ubuntu and have nothing to show for it. Helps replace the all-nighters that I used to be able to do.
I still think having decades of experience in everything from domains, DNS, FreeBSD/Linux servers, databases, all sorts of programming languages, and full stack dev helps get more out of these tools compared to somebody that has no idea what they're doing. Especially around the deployment side right now. People keep saying that's changing though.

More likely, they're all wrong on this accusation. A bit concerning to see how many of them are throwing out a false positive like this. Makes me wonder how many of them are falling for actual AI traps in the real world. :)
