Last chapter talks about the concept of ideas or “memes” taking its place.

Ideas that are beneficial for the human may be passed forward and survive. It got me thinking about religion, hell yeah I would tell me children about god if I believed it would save them from eternal suffering.

Humans also had a good run, but maybe it’s time for something different. The same way genes ceded the stage to memes, maybe organic brains and human minds are not the best possible way for memes to propagate.

I feel that the author mistakes intelligence with mental energy.

Even if you are smart you still have to budget your mental energy and one way to do that is to delegate tasks to AI.

Some people might hate writing documentation but love to write code and vice versa.

Delegating things you don’t want to spend time on is ok in my book.

That’s why the analogy “might as well let Claude hump your wife” does not hold, unless you really don’t enjoy that process.

They're a business. The alternative to keep costs in check would to ask you for more money, and you'd likely be even more upset with that.

They are definitely that. Regardless of their approach, being upfront and transparent would have been nice. Bricking their own software that previously worked well for their customers isn't cool.
