There's already a lot of CO2 produced as a byproduct of industrial chemical processes like petroleum refining. Some of it is captured for reuse (e.g. in drink carbonation); most of it is released to the atmosphere.

Smart Tags was present in some beta versions of MSIE6, but was removed before release. The MSSmartTagsPreventParsing meta tag never did anything useful - by the time its use was widespread, the feature it controlled had already been killed.

ICE40UP5K is large enough to synthesize a simple RISC-V CPU with some basic peripherals. It's not huge or fast, but it's capable enough.

Note, if you need a barebones CPU but want to save on gates, you can go with a serial (1-bit) CPU, e.g. SERV which only takes up 198 LUTs on ice40,[1] leaving plenty of space to do other things.

No, it did not. There was no point at which GNUstep provided binary compatibility with Mac OS applications - while the two ecosystems shared some common history, it was much too far back to provide any form of compatibility. Additionally, Mac OS X used a different executable format than Linux or other UNIX-like operating systems, and GNUstep never attempted to provide that sort of low-level compatibility.

(For perspective: the GNUstep project started in the early 1990s. Mac OS X was first released to users in 2001.)

It may have been possible for some developers to port applications between Mac OS X and GNUstep while sharing some code, but that's a long way from running an unmodified application.
