>>> "it's what Cameron was trying to negotiate the UK into when complete inflexibility on the EU side triggered the Brexit referendum."

"Negotiate" ... is that what you call it?

David Cameron (and team) were the most inept bunch of wankers this country has had the misfortune of being represented by in living memory (in terms of medium/long-term real impact).

We had better terms than anyone in the EU and we still fucked it up.

- Confirm openly that space weapons have been deployed.

- Open the floodgates to the open militarisation of space by all possible nation states.

- In response, justify huge increases in space defense spending budget

- Rinse / repeat to kingdom come. Same as it's always been.

Someone's getting a nice fat bonus, cigar and a blowjob tonight.

I've stopped using xcancel even for that. If anything is important enough, it will reach me via other channels. Particularly from any contact who give af ... if they don't it's not important.

/start Shining movie soundtrack

"HERE'S ROBBY!"

/cut to door chopping and robot led eye lights ...

I have a 2005 Toyota and 69 Beetle ...

Fuck you, data leeches ... you'll get nothing from me.

Is this like Coca Cola buying up natural springs in Spain?

So that local consumers start having to depend on bottled water?

What a shit show ...

... which is why I opted out of all of that bullshit from the start.

Pay some portion of that over the years and end up owning ... absolutely nothing.

Hey HN ... use your mega brains to make the following kind of thing realistic, effective, and widespread for all:

https://urban-privacy.com/pages/anti-surveillance-clothing

fock flock

I love this but "Follow us on Instagram!" is maybe a little counterproductive.

Also behind Cloudflare's moats.

YC invested in flock

Oh, I don't expect YC to get down with this ... but said "mega brains" that inhabit these forums (ok, I just chuckled)

Not sure why this is down voted. People hate the truth, it appears.

Simpler solution:

If you're on Shitter, I'm not interested in your content.

Not even through proxy.

Get on another platform then hit me up if you want some engagement.

Not that we care at all, but for your own good, it'd be best to follow experts in your field/hobby on Twitter. You never know what inspiration might hit you!

Experts in my field don't use Xitter, they use arXiv. Experts in my hobby don't use Xitter, they use forums and databases.

> they use forums *and databases*.

Have to say, a message board which can only be accessed via SQL queries does sound a bit niche :-P
