The Mitsubishi Mirage Cyborg ZR was a hell of a car.
One of the higher output 1.6 litre 4 cylinder engines there were(175hp). Taking that to its 8200 rpm redline was glorious.

It looks serious and as far as I understand it makes sense. They recommend to add iodine to burn/oxidize the trimethylamine or use bacteria and bubbles or air/oxygen, or a mix or bacteria+algae+light that produces the oxygen inside the mix. It looks like without an active source of oxidizer, the mix will be stinky for years.
This is not rot, but digestion. The digestive enzymes of the fish keep breaking down amino acids, producing the characteristic smell. The salt prevents most microorganisms from growing.
I rented it from my local Blockbuster-type store back in the 90s ("Civic Video", was one of the bigger chains here in Australia back then), they had maybe 50+ Mega Drive titles at the time, was just random chance that they had that one. Not the best ever adventure RPG, but I enjoyed it as a kid and I still enjoy it now. I managed to buy it recently from a retro gaming store without too much difficulty, and there appear to be several original copies available for sale online.
