Has anyone read https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biological_War:_A_Scenario

Sounds like there already exist some pretty crazy biological weapons in existence. I dont know if it will be 5 years or 20 years, but at some point some fanatic will try to kill the rest of us.

And software engineers have a right solution? Guess again.

Go Apple, bring up the rear!

Can they even do anything new?

Apple has had the "perfect existing technology" business model for FIFTY years and people are still surprised.

I can't argue with that model, but in the past they actually did new and interesting things! The M series processor, the iPhone. Lets hope new CEO who is more of an engineer then the last one was ramps things up.

most of their innovations are in stuff that would be boring to go into detail with. They talked about the advancements in their A series processors (but you left that out), they talk about their complex layering to prevent a crease from forming, they talk about the dynamic audio. Love em or hate em but you cant say they arent doing new things.

Wow, everyone should read this!

The thing is... AI is not going to solve any problems. People needs to solve their problems. AI can give us clever solutions, but its up to us to do it!

I find Fable can solve in minute things that Opus struggles with. Of course Fable can struggle too.

I made the same choice, aside from privacy concerns, you can not locally host a cost competitive model.

But I am looking forward to lower hardware costs!

As the old saying goes, an untested backup is a non backup.
